In recent memory, New Balance has considerably expanded its collaborative catalog through creative team-ups with the likes of Melbourne's Up There and Japan's Auralee, to name a few.

Now, the Boston-based sportswear giant has tapped on American multi-faceted artist Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino) for its latest footwear venture. New Balance’s collaboration mastermind Joe Grondin has shared that the union will provide “no loud colors or branding, just classic, easy-to-wear colorways of a new silhouette that fit Donald’s style.”
After his brief run of sneaker mash-ups with Adidas, Glover has come together with New Balance to present his first pair of kicks dubbed the "RC30." The discreet silhouette arrives in two colorways, one in a mustard base and the other in a palette of cream and navy, both built of nylon and suede. Acting as a spin-off from the original New Balance Trackster from 1962, its bolder rendition dons spiked sole curvatures, oversized "N" logos at the medials and exposed foam tongues.
The global release of the New Balance RC30 presented by Donald Glover begins exclusively via Market by Gilga on July 8. A wider launch by New Balance and select retailers will take place on July 18.
