Throughout their numerous partnerships, Auralee has shown a recurring theme of uniform colour palettes across some of New Balance’s biggest silhouettes - previously going for a blanket of beige on the RC_2 and 550, which is one of the more sought after collabs on the barnstorming basketball crep. Auralee also teased an upcoming plush suede take on the RC30, stealing the spotlight at their recent SS23 runway presentation.

Based in Japan, Auralee pride themselves on being at the forefront of the ‘elevated basics’ market, earning the title through their clever approach to materials, colour and fit - a design ethos explored in their past outings on the aforementioned New Balance models.

When thinking of Auralee, the phrase “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” comes to mind, which is exactly why their upcoming collaboration on New Balance’s 2002r is so pleasing to the eye - it’s a no-frills, minimalistic approach to an everyday shoe that is clearly meant to be rocked, not stocked.
Officially titled “white/ yellow beige”, the silhouette features a yellowed sole with two-tone, suede heel panels and bone hued uppers. A difference in mesh sees a lightweight lattice on the toe boxes with a heavier fabrication surrounding the ankle.
