Taking heads back to the golden age of NYC’s skate scene, Supreme is teaming up with fellow industry OG Zoo York.
Heralded by Supreme as “the first major East Coast skateboard company”, Zoo York was founded in 1993 by Rodney Smith, Eli Morgan Gesner, and Adam Schatz.

It didn’t take long for Zoo York’s graffiti & hip-hop-informed skate gear to take off as a staple of wider NYC subculture, culminating in 1997, when the brand’s Zoo York Mixtape dropped — a skate video starring iconic riders like Harold Hunter and Jefferson Pang, mixed with raw freestyle footage from Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, and Fat Joe.

Technically not the first meeting between the brands, Supreme actually stocked Zoo York’s goods during its formative years, while Zoo York is responsible for giving Supreme a taste of its own medicine in the mid-2000s, hitting back at Supreme’s notorious plagiarism through the release of ultra-limited “Zoopreme” skate decks and tees - highly sought-after collectors’ items which still fetch thousands on the aftermarket, even today.

Now, the duo are officially joining forces, with Supreme citing the Zoo York Mixtape as “a testament to a golden era in New York City skateboarding and hip-hop history” - showing love through a range of interchangeable styles that have long been a part of the “East Coast street uniform”.

An instant standout is the Soccer Jersey and Shorts set, joined by Supreme and Zoo York’s interpretation of NYC subway signage, which appears on pullover hoodies, graphic tees, and a skateboard. Both brands lean into their appreciation for the art of graffiti on the baggy jeans, another graphic tee design, beanies, plus a special camp cap constructed from hardy cotton sateen.
The final piece of the “Zoopreme” puzzle comes via the set of wheels produced by Spitfire that feature “Cuban link” artwork on the outer sides.
Supreme is also dropping some of its remaining SS25 pieces this week, tending to relations with familiar friends Schott and Clarks in the process.

Originally slated for Week 16, the Supreme x Yonex Made in Japan EZONE 100L is the major accessory featured in this week’s drop, coming alongside bold Intarsia logo tops, the Patches 6-Panel hats and hooded shirts, and Arc Denim coaches jackets.

Schott returns with a button-up leather car coat, made exclusively for Supreme from supple lambskin leather, featuring a leopard-print faux fur lining.

Another of Supreme’s favourite collaborators, Clark‘s, makes a surprise appearance, presenting a new round of Wallabee shoes for Supreme to work its magic on — this time yielding a rare instance of reflective leather that adds a utilitarian edge to grey, tan, and pink colourways of the classic moc-toe stomper.
The Supreme x Zoo York collection and Week 17 droplist releases this Thursday, June 19 via Supreme’s online store and physical locations.
A release in Asia follows on June 21.
