Salehe Bembury Teases Rustic Pink New Balance 990v2 Collaboration

Known to the fashion world as a previous designer for YEEZY and current vice president of men's footwear at Versace, Salehe Bembury has for long kept creativity at the fore. From his mountain of wavy Crocs Pollex Clogs to his various interpretations of contemporary New Balance models, the designer has proven to be a collaborator to keep an eye on. 

Following a trio release of Yurt 574s in April, Bembury has taken to Instagram to debut his first take on the New Balance 990v2. The popular sneaker sees a rustic pink make-up, featuring shaggy suede overlays and ultra-breathable mesh underpinnings in a coral hue. These see burgundy and grey leather trimmings run across the toe boxes, while the medials boast violet New Balance logos with a fuzzy finish. 

A Salehe Bembury branded banner hangs from the outer collars, matching well with the tones of the upper. Finally, the sole units are complete with New Balance's ABZORB cushioning technology, an oxidized orange coating and burgundy outsoles.
