It feels like the Dunk Low is everywhere at the moment, some even theorise it’s a ploy from Nike to replace the Air Force 1 as their premier, most accessible silhouette - taking the tinfoil hat off for a second, we've been given our best look yet at the upcoming ‘Setsubun’ release, which celebrates the eponymous Japanese festival of fresh horizons.

The Setsubun (seasonal division) festival falls on the final day before Spring. It involves a ritual of families throwing roasted soybeans outside their front door, in an incorporeal effort to ward off evil spirits, natively known as Oni.

Starting from the base, we see a translucent outsole beneath a white midsole. Shades of brown dominate the upper section of the silhouette, with the lighter hues mimicking the colour of a roasted soybean. With it being a one off release, Nike have gone with some finely fettled leather, the standouts being the rough-hide purple swoosh and the cracked cream quarter-panel.
Nike’s ultimate cheat code - the Mini Swoosh, can be found stitched in gold to the lateral side of the tip, which contrasts against the mauve ‘demon head' seen further down on the heel.
They don’t yet have a release date but sources indicate we will likely see the shoe drop very soon.
