Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore has returned for Fall/ Winter ‘22, showcasing more of the New York firm’s considered approach to modern tailoring, with a heavy focus on layering that bridges the gap between formal wear and relaxed everyday staples that will all couple seamlessly with their upcoming New Balance Ranier collaboration.

At a glance, ALD have gone all-out on their jacket and coat options, from simple gilets and anoraks to stand-out leather overcoats that would look right at home in a 90’s Scorsese flick, the materials are as exquisite ever and cut to flatter the wearer with ease. Take this wool overcoat, paired with a tonal fleece and cargo pants, rounded off with a NY Mets logo beanie.
On the topic of hats, there is not one look that isn't adorned with some form of headgear, of course there’s seasonal renditions of the classic uniform cap and corduroy versions of the Aimé Leon Dore branded Yankees hats (brim included), however it’s the stitched berets that steal the spotlight, and although unlikely to be seen in the rotation of the masses, it’s an indication of yet another style trend that we may see become more popular thanks to the ALD design team.
An area of expertise that has blossomed since the brand's inception is the knitwear division, which across a bevy of sweater options, always delivers on the textile front, through cotton, mohair or straight-up woollen fabrications.
The space dye cardigan appears in beige and black colourways and is set to be a sure-fire classic from the Aimé Leon Dore playbook.

Other, more accessible highlights arrive in the form of down pullover jackets, overshirts, both checked and plain - with the real heavy hitter being the houndstooth plaid suit that in typical ALD fashion, is paired with a navy Yankees hat for the perfect, dressed up “visit to Café Leon Dore” outfit.
