Always in tune with the heartbeat of pop culture, UNIQLO UT’s latest collaboration dives into the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli. Launching in July 2025, this collection blends beloved animated classics with everyday casual wear, perfect for both long-time fans and a new generation of Ghibli enthusiasts.

The collection draws inspiration from eight iconic films across the Studio Ghibli universe and features original artwork by Thai artist Kanyada, bringing fresh perspective to timeless characters and scenes. From the whimsical bus stop moment in My Neighbor Totoro to illustrations inspired by the recent Oscar-winning The Boy and the Heron, every piece taps into the heart of Ghibli’s storytelling magic.
Other featured films include Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke - each represented through nostalgic and vibrant designs that capture the emotional depth and charm Ghibli is known for.

Since its founding in 1985, Studio Ghibli has become a global animation powerhouse, with nearly all of its 25 feature films topping box offices in Japan during their release years. Films like Spirited Away (2001), Howl’s Moving Castle(2004), and Princess Mononoke (1997) remain among Japan’s top 10 highest-grossing films of all time. The studio’s latest triumph, The Boy and the Heron (2023), earned critical acclaim and swept major awards in 2024, including the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, as well as an Honorary Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
The upcoming UNIQLO UT collection includes a cozy mix of unisex adult sweatshirts, graphic t-shirts, and a charming selection of children’s apparel. Fan-favorite characters make joyful appearances throughout—including Calcifer, the cheeky fire demon from Howl’s Moving Castle, and a burst of soot sprites from My NeighborTotoro. One standout design features a “greatest hits” collage of Ghibli characters across multiple films.
The UNIQLO UT x Studio Ghibli collection will be available at UNIQLO retail stores and via the official UNIQLO x Studio Ghibli web store from Friday 4th July in Europe & other regions and from Thursday 10th July
