Legendary Swiss watchmaker Tudor is famous for it’s purpose-built approach to horology, producing some of the most esteemed modern tool watches, closely following its sister brand Rolex thanks to the Black Bay and Pelagos ranges.
Often placed amongst the “boring” oldheads of the watch world, (when compared to the extravagance of Hublot, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille), Tudor is now breaking the mould for its latest release by adding a pink dial and jubilee bracelet to the Black Bay Chronograph.
The announcement comes just days after Tudor unveiled its latest partnership with Inter Miami FC, the upstart football club founded by Tudor brand ambassador David Beckham, who wear pink as their home shirt colour.
According to Tudor, the lore of pink originally began with Taiwanese musician and company man Jay Chou, whose stage identity is closely associated with the colour and is one of few known owners of the Pink Black Bay Chrono.

In Tudor’s words, “These TUDOR ambassadors wear pink with intention. They know that being daring means going against the status quo. To them, there are no rules. The Black Bay Chrono “Pink” might not be for everyone, and that’s OK because few of them will ever be made.”

Besides the glaring dial update, this iteration is also the first in Tudor’s Back Bay Chrono range to feature a 5-link “jubilee” bracelet, which comes fitted with the firm’s T-fit clasp closure system - a handy update many believe should be applied to all Tudor novelties.

It is unclear just how limited the pink Black Bay Chrono will be, with sources indicating that the watch will be available to the public, although sold as an off-catalogue model, likely only reserved for the most loyal of Tudor customers.
