The Simpsons Reunite With Adidas on "Flaming Moe" ZX 1000

In exciting news for fans of The Simpsons - particularly Springfield's number one barkeep, Moe Szyslak - adidas have revealed a tribute to one of his finest hours via their ZX 1000 sneaker.
Inspired by the "Flaming Moe" cocktail invented by Homer - and quickly stolen and popularised by Moe - after a beer shortage, the muted purple base of the shoe pays homage to the cough cyrup that is the secret ingredient of the drink. Orange and yellow flame details at either side of the shoe reference the drink's final flourish of being set alight before serving, as demonstrated on a small badge at the front of the lace lock.
Also set to release soon is a Superstar decked out in homage to another famous Springfield beverage - the iced “Squishee” drinks sold at Apu's Kwik-E-Mart store. The shoe echoes the bright sugary colours of the drinks and a translucent sole brings the icy feeling.
The shoes don't yet have an official release date but are sure to drop at adidas and other select retailers soon. We'll update so you can catch 'em while they're hot.
