It seems that we can’t go a week without mentioning Teddy Santis’ name - whether it’s news on Aimé Leon Dore, New Balance or a collaboration between the two, it’s becoming clear that this is his world, and we’re just living in it.

Now that the first lot of ‘Moonbeam’, ’Macadamia’ and white leather 990s have finally entered worldwide circulation, it’s time to prep the wallets once again, as the next volumes in this critically acclaimed anthology of sneaker wonderment have surfaced online, with one of the pairs coming correct with a concrete release date.

As great as the 990v1 and 2 are, nothing quite scratches the itch like New Balance’s 990v3, its cloud-like comfort and aesthetically pleasing shape can seemingly fit into any rotation with ease and so far, it’s been the only recurring shoe from the Santis 16 to sell out instantly - regardless of colourway.
A duo of joker-esque v3s have surfaced online, with the first sporting the usual fuzzy suede in a mesmerising tone of lilac, underpinned with deep purple mesh underlays and grey tabs. The vintage-patina midsole is complimented by the orange “N” branding, punctuating the symmetry of colour with a sunburst iteration of the special edition insole - a minor yet considered detail that ties the design together in the most Santis way possible.
The latter of the 990v3s takes some design cues from 2019’s Stray Rats collaboration, presented in a non-fuzzy, equally buttery, green suede that allows for a purple N logo to pop, alongside colour-matched mesh lining. Subtle orange 990 branding coordinates with the tongue’s embossed “New Balance” typeface, again proving that the devil is truly in the detail.
Last, but certainly not least, we have both official and in-hand looks at the next confirmed New Balance by Teddy Santis shoe to drop, arriving in the form of a sleek 990v2. The minimalistic design uses a black suede upper with contrasting white piping surrounding the “N”, bestowed with a military vibe through khaki mesh underlays and pea green eyelets.

Currently there is no word on release for the 990v3s, however, the Made in USA 990v2 will be available on July 7th at 10:00 am (EST) at NewBalance.com.
