Aimé Leon Dore has just released the first drop from its Fall Winter ‘24 collection.

Heralding in the shift in seasons, NYC’s suavest streetwear firm continues to distance itself from a “Ralph Lauren copycat brand” by cultivating unique collections that borrow from military, sports, true vintage and plain old casual niches, to form a distinct identity that is instantly recognisable as ALD.

Headlining this first instalment, ALD has applied its cursive script and unisphere graphic to Gore-Tex loaded jackets and trousers, available in sleek black and pale green ‘gleam’ colourways. The shell jackets and trousers mark the first of a few ALD Gore-Tex pieces to arrive this season, with down parkas and caps slated to come at a later date.
Sticking with outerwear, ALD’s Leather Bomber Jacket is dropping in two contrasting make-ups. The first and most eye-catching follows a panelled construction, featuring layers of green, red, navy and white with embroidered logos at the left chest and back. A clean black iteration is also available, showcasing the supple nature of its lambskin construction without the input of bold branding.
Formal-leaning Waxed Dusters, brushed Harrington-style and neutral-toned Chore and Work jackets fill out the rest of ALD’s outerwear offerings, with formidable layering potential thanks to the array of exotically textured shirts and knits prevalent in the collection.
Not forgetting its roots as a true streetwear entity, ALD has also worked on new graphic styles for the Fall Winter season, with updated palettes and logo interpretations present on tees, hoodies and caps. The notable Wingfoot variation appears on Performance Shorts, Track Jackets, Bandanas and Tote Bags, taking inspiration from old school sporting imagery - a theme that has become synonymous with ALD’s brand identity.
ALD’s proficiency in the sportswear realm continues with standout items like the Knitted Cycling Jersey, overtly branded Team Hockey Jerseys and the New York Yankees printed shirt and bucket hat.
American-made New Balance footwear is part and parcel of Aimé Leon Dore as a whole and thanks to Teddy Santis, who holds positions at both brands, releases such as the latest bright orange and olive 990v4’s have now become a standard of ALD‘s collections, releasing sans any frivolous campaigns or noticeable collaborative signature, outside of the stacked co-branding applied at the insoles of either pair.
ALD’s in-house footwear options include the embossed, snake print Venetian loafer and luxury Travel Slipper, which is offered in red, olive or black, complete with gold foiling at the interior and its very own, colour-matched travel case.
From the selection of solid gold jewellery, the 14kt Signet Ring stands out thanks the decorative addition of three lab-grown diamonds and ALD’s Queen’s Crest on the outer face. The luxury spills over onto leather wrapped lighters and portable ashtrays, with a cigarette case and branded brass Zippo lighter also available.
