Following his first collection as the creative director of the brand's Made in USA line, Santis has teased many upcoming releases that have kept ALD stans at the edge of their seats. The designer has taken to Instagram to share a sneak peek of what's in-store for 2022, including upcoming Aimé Leon Dore 550 and 991 collaborations.
Santis only shared one image of the upcoming 550, which sees the infamous silhouette dressed in forest green overlays set atop a cream mesh toe box. The sneaker is decorated with cracked "N" insignia at the medials and embossed "550" branding. Two more pairs are crafted in the same style, appearing in navy blue leather and rugged heather grey suede.
The 991 is presented through more extensive imagery and features a light brown leather build accompanied by creamy mesh underlays and pine green leather trimmings. The second version dons a similar design with grey suede panels, mesh underpinnings and green detailing.
A steady release date has yet to be confirmed, but the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550s and 991s could be dropping in the coming weeks or later this year. Stay tuned for updates coming soon.
