In 2022, the Air Jordan 1 has seen an abundance of releases that have caught the eyes of wearers far and wide. From GRs to limited collaborations, the OG silhouette has received one remix after another and now sees a makeover inspired by the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Twist" launched in 2019 alongside KY-based boutique Oneness. The female-exclusive colorway was dubbed the “Shoe of the Derby,” inspired by the Kentucky Derby annual horse races.
Now, initial images have surfaced of a revamped version nicknamed the "Twist 2.0." Much like the original, the second iteration sports black pony hair overlays that run through the mudguards, lacing systems, ankle flaps, heel counters and medial Swooshes. Its contrasting panels differ from the first release as they appear in light grey leather instead of the traditional vibrant white hue. The classic pure white Air Jordan 1 midsole is carried over, while the Wings logo adorns the collars with a three-dimensional emblem completed with a metal finish.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Twist 2.0” is rumored to be a women's exclusive and expected to hit shelves on December 22nd at select Nike retailers worldwide for $180.
