Supreme has just cut the ribbon on its 17th bricks and mortar location, this time setting up shop on the east coast of China with an 11,000 square foot space set over two stories.

Located in the Xuhui district of Shanghai, the store is Supreme’s largest location to date and carries over interior design features from pre-existing outposts, such as the giant skate bowl, glass front and overall bare-bones aesthetic.

Besides familiar stickers decorating the walls, Supreme also tapped Nate Lowman for his bullet-hole expertise, alongside life-size sculpture work from another brand affiliate in Mark Gonzales, who’s concocted an ominous white figure and cartoonish racecar & driver that both greet shoppers as they enter the store.

The main wall is adorned with a colourful mural courtesy of Josh Smith and on the left, cult artist Kaws calls back to his early works by painting over the stars of Supreme’s infamous ‘photo-tee’ series, embellishing images of box logo-donning celebrities with variations on his signature “Companion” character.

Shoppers can admire the store in full view from the central bench constructed from two Supreme x Louis Vuitton trunks.

To commemorate the opening of Supreme Shanghai, the brand is releasing one-off tees and hoodies fixed with leopard print box logos at the front and the store’s address at the back. The designs will be available exclusively at Supreme Shanghai, when it opens on March 23rd.
