Starting this week, Emory will work closely with the design team and Supreme founder James Jebbia. Emory's appointment is the first major creative personnel change since the brand's acquisition by VF Corp for $2.1billion in 2020.

Tremaine Emory - born in Atlanta and raised in Queens, New York - has previously advised a varied range of brands, designers and artists including Kanye West, Frank Ocean, A$AP Mob, Tom Sachs, Off-White, Levi’s, Converse, Nike, New Balance, Asics, Dries Van Noten and more.

The multi-hyphenate creative is one half of No Vacancy Inn whose projects extend across multiple fields including music, radio, fashion, podcasts, parties and nightlife events.

Emory is also known for his brand Denim Tears, launched in 2019. The brand's name and cotton wreath logo acknowledge the historical significance of cotton and denim itself and the reliance on slavery in the West to create the fabrics which are now everyday clothing staples.
