Stüssy and its crack collaboration squad have just surprised the masses once again by announcing a partnership with fellow statesmen Mountain Hardwear.

The Stüss is no stranger to performance apparel and even ran its own dedicated outdoor range from the late 90’s to 2000’s that birthed some of the more collectible vintage Stüssy garments to hit the aftermarket.
Stüssy and Mountain Hardwear is a commitment to the latter’s all-encompassing approach to outdoor gear that doesn’t discriminate between Sunday dog walkers and sheer-face free climbers. The hardy, function-first essence of Mountain Hardwear has served the outdoor enthusiast since 1993 and not unlike most gorp mainstays, always focuses on its products’ technical appeal as opposed to trendy aesthetics.
In a rare collaborative outing, Mountain Hardwear does most of the legwork, with Stüssy simply underscoring the branding and adding influence in the colour department, resulting in a functional capsule that epitomises modern gorp culture.
Starting with outerwear, a pile fleece comes in bright orange and white, fixed with black nylon panelling and co-branding at the chest. Stüssy’s eccentric side comes to light on the padded gilet that features an extra-large swirly signature worked into the baffles.

More fleece work is available on the skull cap and trousers that showcase an even louder fleece fabric resembling reptilian camo print.
A collaborative t-shirt is also on the books and features contrast stitching on both the black and lime green colourways. Finally, a sleeping back gets the Stüssy treatment via another enlarged ”S” and more branding hits on the lower half.

The Stüssy x Mountain Hardwear collection drops on Friday, October 13th on Stüssy.com.
