Reconvening for the first time since 2021, Stüssy and Dr. Martens are keeping UK/ USA relations well and truly alive by remodelling a British workwear stalwart through the laid-back lens of the California’s top streetwear enterprise.
Considering Dr. Martens well deserved resurgence in recent years, it comes as a surprise that the firm has waited until now to reintroduce the 2295 Work Boot and thanks to Stüssy’s input on the detailing and material choices, a once-forgotten DM style is finally getting its flowers.
Pull-on work boots have clearly been on Stüssy’s radar for a minute, as the brand opted to release a similar model (although not manufactured by Dr. Martens) in its SS24 collaboration with Our Legacy (pictured above).
A full-figured silhouette with rubber outsoles and steel toecaps, the 2295 makes no bones about its functional roots and forgoing any noticeable form of branding, Stüssy and Dr Martens produce faithful interpretations in waxy black leather or sand-coloured neppy suede that are each highlighted by DM’s signature yellow welt stitching on the sole.

Featuring pull tabs on either side of the shaft, Stüssy leaves its mark with embossed patches that appropriately display the “Work Gear” stamp of approval.
