Completing the holy trinity of streetwear brands dropping this week, Stüssy is throwing its very own low-profile hat in the ring with the first instalment of its Spring ‘24 collection - keeping timelines busy and bank accounts empty over the coming months.
A focus on outerwear sees Stüssy approach the go-to choice for weather-proof exploits with a Gore-Tex M65 jacket that throws a technical spin on an iconic military staple, presented in black, magenta and bone.
Refined examples include the Bing suede jackets and stonewashed leather trousers, button-up overshirts and work jackets that see a pre-patina treatment, drawn up in washed black and blue finishes, cut to the generous, oversized fit that Stüssy is known for.
The sportswear demographic is hit via the ”Stüssy Sport” adorned varsity jackets, crewnecks, hoodies and tees that can be paired with any of the brand’s Big Ol‘ jeans to emulate the ultimate ‘80’s quarterback’ steeze.
Although the collection is largely tailored to the more mature Stüssy tribe members, hypebeast 8-ball simps will be glad to see the return of the brand’s Beach Shell windbreakers, re-upped in a wave dye blue and all-over “Baja” print that depicts an up-close shot of a dirt bike.
The loudness continues with the Call of Duty-core work jacket and jeans that have an orange Kryptek camo printed over the entirety of the garments.
A Stüssy capsule is not complete without graphic tees and thanks to the Fueled, Regal Crown and Camelot designs, the brand’s bread is well and truly buttered.
Final highlights include the fleshed out accessory collection, comprised of bottle openers, lighter cases, ashtrays and general homeware that are all imbued with signature graphics from the Stüssy sketchbook.
