In an attempt to challenge the current state of sneaker sales, European footwear retailer size? have launched their re-size? initiative, which resurrects sneakers of the past and offers the real collectors out there a fair shake at obtaining their grail pair. Kicking off the series is the highly-coveted Nike Air-Yeezy 1, which even 10 years after its initial release, still sells for over $4,000.

The Air-Yeezy 1 set the foundations for Kanye West to eventually jump over jumpman - you’ve only to watch the recent jeen-yuhs documentary to see that Donda’s son always had a flair for the fly, however, it was his tumultuous partnership with Nike that cemented the rapper as a force to be reckoned with in the sneaker game. For many, it was also the first dose of that highly addictive drug that plagues modern society - a.k.a sneaker collecting/ reselling.
It’s no secret that in recent years, the sneaker reselling game has become accessible as a legitimate career - whether you love them or hate them, entrepreneurs like Benjaminkickz have made a name for themselves through buying and selling rare footwear. On the flip side, it has become increasingly difficult for the everyman/ woman to source their desired pair in a reasonable time frame at retail price.

The re-size? series aims to combat the current climate, returning to the community-driven roots that were once a pillar of the resale game.
