The year was 2018 and Sean Wotherspoon had the world in the palm of his hand. Sean undeniably owes a large portion of his success to THAT Air Max 90/ 1 release, which propelled him from being a humble store-owner to a multi-faceted, highly respected designer. Since then, his mission to solidify his own personal brand has resulted in a slew of collaborations with the likes of Vespa, Asics and most notably, Adidas.
Some see Adidas’ EQT line as an answer to Nike’s ACG, whether you subscribe to that theory or not, the outdoorsy vibe is prevalent in all of Sean’s recent designs.
In keeping with the same themes as his previous Superstar and Super Earth Adidas releases, Sean's signature, floral stitching can be found on the heel, alongside other minor details, such as the multi-colored eyelets which mirror the palette used on the mesh and cordura uppers. The shoe is finished off with a lace-lock system and lettered beads, that spout the messages “super earth” and “peace and love” - for the ultimate outdoor-hippie vibe.
The proud vegan has always aimed to bring an edge of sustainability to his collaborations, this is no different for his newest silhouette, as the shoe is made from 25% recycled waste.
