Salomon x MM6 Maison Margiela Cook Up New Luxury Trail Runner

Salomon x MM6 by Maison Margiela has become a regular occurrence in the collaboration calendar and after delivering various extravagant cross-sectional sneakers, the duo’s latest trick takes a wearable approach to Salomon’s X-ALP trail hiker.

The X-ALP is a low cut version of a boot sharing the same name and is more of a callback to formative hiking models that favoured natural materials and minimalistic design over the largely synthetic approach Salomon takes with its premier models today.

Slightly tweaking the X-ALP to suit urban sensibilities, MM6 is debuting two colourways, with each sporting the same upper construction of hard-wearing mesh mixed with laser-cut suede panelling and plenty of rubber guarding.

MM6’s logo arrives on the tongue and heel, with enlarged Salomon wordmarks printed across the mid section.

The Salomon x MM6 Maison Margiela X-ALP will be available via Salomon on Thursday, June 6th. Retail price is $375 USD.
