Reebok x Maison Margiela "Memories Of" Release Details

Maison Margiela and Reebok are back for Spring with four new takes on the ‘Classic’ and ‘Club C’ models.

Reebok recruited Maison Margiela due to their philosophy that heritage should be celebrated through dissection, "Memory Of" is their process of evoking the ‘memory of’ something that used to be there, but no longer exists.

‘Memory of’ is realised here through literally stripped-back renditions of classic Reebok silhouettes - where traditional heel tabs and mudguards would usually lie, a cut & sewn effect is used to show consumers the steps taken to complete the shoe, visible stitching and silver ‘pencil-marks’ can also be seen on the inside-out leather panels. 

Both silhouettes arrive in black and white, and despite the exposed nature, it is a welcome break from the even weirder “Tabi” release we saw a few months back, they're far more wearable and provide ample competition and variation against New balance’s ‘Protection Pack’.

The collection will be available online from Maison Margiela and Reebok on March 25th.
