Shortly after winding up their Autumn season with a workwear inspired Carhartt capsule, Palace have returned with a peek into what's to come from their Winter 2023 season lookbook, launching next week.
The lookbook - shot by photographer Dominic Marley - stars Palace pro skate team members Lucien Clarke, Shawn Powers, Dino Da Silva and Kanin Garner modelling a selection of pieces from the coming season, drawing from the typically eclectic range of references we've come to expect from the brand applied to a sturdy but stylish Winter-ready collection.
Heading up the print-heavy selection, Palace has enlisted the capable hands of Liverpudlian artist Chila Burman this season, whose unique collage style finds itself on a shirt, tee and puffer jacket adorned with feminine faces and scattered florals in vibrant colours.
The preview also teases a number of technically sound outerwear options including weatherproof GORE-TEX pieces, a piped Polartec full-zip fleece and a cozy Pertex down jacket with a built in balaclava.
Contesting Supreme’s anticipated FW23 Schott shearling jacket, Palace presents its very own aviator-inspired rig injected with some inimitable techy flair via the reflective strip tucked into the collar, alongside a laser-etched logo on the back and utilitarian buckles that sign off a rare modern interpretation of a true classic.
Palace’s latest winter collection also brings about the ‘Hardware’ line that adds to the already vast number of branches within Palace HQ. As the name suggests, the line riffs on workwear mainstays such as the canvas vest and trucker hat - the latter of which goes a step further by adding some hi-vis taping into its side panels as a whimsical tip of the (hard) hat to all the blue collar boys out there.
Also making a return is some new sports inspired gear including a saintly overall print football top referencing Portuguese Azulejo tile prints plus an icy polar bear long sleeve hockey jersey.
Also shown off is an eccentric headwear collection including down padding, faux fur and teddy fleece hats with cutesy ear adornments.
This first week of the Palace Winter 2023 season releases in the UK, EU and US this Friday 29th September, 11 am BST in stores and online from the Palace , and in Japan and China Saturday 30th September, 11 am JST/CST via the Japan webstore and WeChat.
