Tapping into relations with one of its foremost Japanese pen-pals, Palace Skateboards has revealed its sophomore collaboration with Porter Yoshida & Co. - set to drop this week as part of its Autumn ‘24 collection.

Building on the success of the duo’s initial Spring ‘23 outing, Palace is once again going above and beyond the expectations of quality nylon bags and luggage by introducing Porter‘s ubiquitous stamp of superior craftsmanship to outerwear, accessories and wardrobe staples.

That’s not to say that carry-alls aren’t still the stars of the Palace x Porter show, as back and waist packs, amongst shoulder styles and wallets all make an appearance in this latest outing.

Palace and Porter have developed a unique jacquard design to be implemented across the range, coming in hues of deep black and olive that intensify the already intriguing texture of Porter’s signature nylon textile, with the integrated “branch camo” design seamlessly lending itself to the urban applications of both brands.

Utilitaria personified, the Tanker Field jacket, vest and matching belted trousers provide the same levels of functionality present in Porter’s luggage, also taking advantage of the trademark orange lining to imbue the offering with a not-so-standard-issue military edge.

For the Palace fiend still in search of more storage options, the Palace x Porter caps provide three-extra mini pockets, attached to the 6-panel construction, featuring alongside the Porter-hijacked Tri-Ferg patch.

The remainder of the capsule is home to tasteful, co-branded hoods and tees presented in olive, orange, black and white palettes, alongside vibrantly stained skate decks.

In light of the border-breaking collaboration, Palace has let directorial mastermind Michael J. Fox and brand affiliate & artist Alexandrino Da Silva loose on the streets of London to test the functional limits of the Palace x Porter collection. View the campaign here.

The rest of this week’s mainline drop goes the ‘cuddly and cosy’ route with Polartec fleece bits, heavy duty hoodies and soft knit jumpers dominating.

The Cosy Knit and Palace Club Trucker recall familiar 90s fuzzy friends with their heart imagery and fluffy textures, where the Oktoberfest graphic tee lands just in time for the annual celebration, joined by the House t-shirt that honours fans of the vibey music subculture.

Week 7 also offers the option of a head-to-toe Polartec fleece ‘fit, comprised of a 3M track jacket and joggers, zip vest and Boonie hat.

The Palace x Porter Yoshida & Co. collaboration and in-house Week 7 collection rolls out this Friday, 20th September from 11:00 AM GMT.

Available in-store and online at Palace’s London, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles and Seoul outposts, the collection also drops at Dover Street Market in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
