Pharrell Williams is one of the coolest cats alive - and there’s no one that can say otherwise.
</br>
Since he burst onto the scene as a producer, Pharrell’s proclivity to cook up fire in any industry saw the Virginia native become responsible for hundreds of hits across the music, sneaker and fashion spheres, most recently adding “Creative Director of Menswear at Louis Vuitton” to his already lengthy resume.
As a byproduct of all the connections Pharrell has built and cool shit he has accrued, last year, auction house Joopiter was born, acting as a platform for P’s personal effects and those tied to him and after the $5.25 million USD total sales from the inaugural auction, Pharrell is teaming up with friend and Colette founder Sarah Andelman to present the latest curation of rare goodies titled “Just Phriends”.

As the title suggests, Andelman and Pharrell have enlisted friends from the art world and beyond to gather items of great rarity that have been specially curated for the auction.

Known for shedding light on previously lesser-known designers at famous French store Colette, Andelman said:

“For this unique auction, I immediately thought of bringing together the artists and designers who have a history of working with Pharrell, but also a new generation of talents I love and find relevant in today’s culture, that’s why it’s called Just Phriends,”
Names like Chanel, Futura, Kaws and Daniel Arsham are just a few featured in the 62-lot auction, with the real pièce de résistance being the co-designed “Simple Things” sculpture by Takashi Murakami and Pharrell that comes complete with diamond-encrusted versions of life’s essentials, starting at a cool $2.94 million USD.
One of the more bizarre offerings is a microscopic handbag developed by anti-fashion brand MSCHF specially for the auction, coming with its own microscope and a starting price tag of $15,000 USD.
Other items featured in the auction include a pair of signed Chanel x adidas x Pharrell NMD runners, a Louis Vuitton kite, solid gold fast food chains, Gervonta “Tank” Davis’ fight-worn Human Made boxing shorts, no end of eccentric artwork and just for good measure, a Pharrell-designed Richard Mille RM65 wristwatch constructed from rose gold.

All of the above (and more) are open for bidding now on Joopiter.com, with the lowest priced item currently sat at $1,000, ranging to the highest with the aforementioned “Simple Things” sculpture estimated to reach at least $3 million USD before the auction ends on June 27th.
