Patta has officially revealed its latest project with Nike: a trainer and tracksuit-filled capsule titled the “New Wave” - which positions familiar Patta x Nike design codes against a backdrop steeped in the oft-overlapping cultures of music and fashion.

Restarting the “wave” first launched by the brands in 2021, Patta has worked on four iterations of the Air Max 90, beginning by tapping into classic Air Max DNA with blue “Sapphire” and “Volt” green colourways, ahead of two more, currently unseen pairs scheduled to drop later this month.
Aside from familiar grey-based Air Max palettes highlighted by vibrant panelling, the Dutch brand’s first attempt at reworking the Air Max 90 borrows the fan-favourite wavy mudguard from its range of Air Max 1 designs released in 2021.
The apparel is designed to match, offering full tracksuits and socks paired with Patta’s exclusive Air Max 90 colourways, joined by graphic tees in simple black and white, alongside tie-dye versions in red, blue, and grey.
Echoing its products’ ability, whether through sell-out times, longevity or resale value, to speak for itself, Patta has produced a campaign that embodies its universal mantra “Patta Got Love for All” in a more visceral sense: recruiting Pennsylvanian producer BNYX, UK lyricist BXKS, and Nigerian artist Odumodublvck for a symbol-rich music video set within the air unit of the Air Max 90.

The first drop from Patta x Nike’s Air Max 90 “New Wave” collection launches on Friday, 20 June via pattaxnike.com and Patta chapter stores in Amsterdam, London, Milan, and Lagos. A global release via Nike SNKRS is planned for June 23rd
