Palace Hit the Races with Kappa for BWT Alpine’s Las Vegas Grand Prix Campaign

Formula 1 racing team BWT Alpine has announced its upcoming three-party collaboration with Palace Skateboards and Kappa.

The collection will release in accordance with the Las Vegas Grand Prix later this month and gives Palace free rein on a selection of ultra-branded race gear - an area of expertise the brand has dabbled in over collaborations with the likes of Mercedes and its own ever-growing IPSTU (Imaginary Palace Sports Team Universe).

Palace has also designed racing suits for Alpine team drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, in addition to more vibrant garb for the remaining pit crew. The commandment of the biggest stage in open wheel racing does not stop there, as the Uk skate firm has also cooked up a one-off livery for Alpine’s A523 vehicle that will grace the Sin City streets on November 18th.

y2k sportswear aficionados will relish the 10-piece collection that includes your standard branded tees, hoodies and New Era headwear, alongside heavier hitters like the quilted pit jacket, body warmers and tracksuits. 

The colour scheme spans a synth wave palette of black bases with pink and blue highlights - be it on Tri-Fergs or panelling, plus disruptive multi-terrain camouflage for a rugged touch in a collection where the corporatisation is prevalent.

Celebrating the collection launch, director Femi Ladi leads a high-octane film following a Formula 1 driver as he wakes in a Las Vegas hotel room and rushes for the starting grid of the Vegas Grand Prix. The film features cameos from Palace team riders Charlie Birch, Danny Brady, Kanin Garner, Jahmir Brown and Charlie Young.

The Palace x Kappa for Alpine collection will first be available exclusively at The Venetian Shop in Las Vegas, this Thursday, November 16th.
