Besides having one of the cooler looking band insignias, hall of fame rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers are renowned for their non conformist approach to the musical genre most define as 'rock', a path that saw the collective amass millions of fans worldwide and even bigger numbers in the realms of album sales.
During the formative years of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ fame, a young Brendon Babenzien stumbled across this display of musical wonderment when he first listened to the 1984 tune “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes”. Inspired by the funky chords and heavy riffs, Brendon would one day become the proprietor of his very own creative outlet, a small firm we all know today as Noah.
In honour of his favourite band, Brendon is taking advantage of Noah’s status within the streetwear world to deliver a commemorative capsule that, like most of the Chili Pepper’s art, is brimming with bright colours and brash graphics.
References to the collection’s muse arrive in the form of "Mother’s Milk" album cover skateboards and a t-shirt that features the aforementioned track title “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes”. The eclecticism of the categories featured in the collection is relatable to that of the band members themselves, who each had their own unique style that seemed to blend seamlessly on stage, furthering the mystical steez of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In keeping with Noah’s moral compass, a made-in-California Golden Bear varsity jacket not only supports the RHCP’ home state but also features their iconic logo, updated in a flowery, Noah-derived fashion. Also available is a tee dedicated in memory to founding band member Hillel Slovak.
