UPDATE - 24/06/2025:

Nike has officially revealed its blockbuster collaboration with Levi’s, delivering on promises made by Lil’ Yachty that denim Air Max models and Swoosh-bound workwear was up for grabs in the freshest project from two giants of America‘s fashion complex.

Arriving as the latest special project to be released during the 30th anniversary celebrations for Sergio Lozano’s Air Max 95 — Nike and Levi’s present three versions of the zeitgeisty runner, starting with a natural-inspired ecru that’s joined by two-tone mid, and full black washes of Levi’s denim featuring on the 95’s sculpted upper panels.

The colourways are unified through the signature red tag from Levi’s placed on the outer right heel, matching the secondary lace options and graphic-printed insoles.

The brands have specifically left the edges of the upper fabric raw, with various rows of topstitching added to ensure maximum durability, while also prolonging the patination process sought out by hardcore denim lovers.

Now in Levi’s wheelhouse, the duo draw on 170+ years of workwear heritage, presenting an ultra-washed and faded selvedge denim type II jacket and jeans combo that feature contrasting Nike branding, specially chain-stitched as a twofold nod to Nike’s collegiate background and Levi’s roots in Western culture.

The Nike x Levi’s Air Max 95 and apparel collection first releases on July 10 via Levi’s online store, ahead of SNKRS drop the following day, on July 11.

Retail for the sneakers is expected to be $225 USD

ORIGINAL ARTICLE - 25/05/2025:

Coming together in celebration of the Air Max 95’s 30-year anniversary, Nike and Levi’s are finally teaming up on their first proper collection.

While Levi’s has technically worked with Nike SB and Jordan brand in the past, not forgetting 2019’s customisable Nike by Levi’s collection, this upcoming release marks the first official meeting between the American denim legends and mainline Nike, who are taking advantage of the Air Max 95’s resurgence to shoulder responsibility for a milestone meeting between two powerhouses of the American fashion industry.

News of the partnership broke when now-seasoned Nike collaborator in his own right Lil’ Yachty posted a full Nike x Levi’s ‘fit to Instagram, preceded by a preview of three Air Max 95s featuring varying shades of denim uppers.

According to Yachty’s post, the shoe will be offered in black, ecru and a two-tone indigo version, reportedly titled “Obsidian”. The scarce imagery didn’t show any signs of Levi’s signature tag, however the brand’s associated shade of red did feature on spare laces, which seemingly come as the standard secondary option for each colourway of the Nike x Levi’s Air max 95.

It is currently unclear whether Nike and Levi’s will release a denim jacket and jeans set to match with each of its Air Max 95s, or if the ultra-washed version Lil’ Yachty posted will fly solo as the only apparel set featured in the collection.

Expect an official announcement for the Nike x Levi’s Air Max 95 collaboration to arrive in the coming weeks.
