Hiroshima Fujiwara’s Fragment is teaming up with Nike to celebrate the rebirth of a cult silhouette, presenting two clean Spiridons that evidence Fujiwara’s no-frills design aesthetic and longevity as a main streetwear player.

Like most popular sneakers, the Air Spiridon was originally intended as a purpose built runner when it officially released in 1997, before being adopted into sneaker culture due to its proportionately chunky appearance and high levels of comfort afforded by hidden Zoom air technology.

After a six year hiatus, the mainline Spiridon retro is set to drop in the coming weeks in its original “Sport Red” colourway, but not before Fragment design gets its hands on the silhouette to transpose simple branding placements and wearable palettes.

Arriving in full black and a Fragment-classic white with navy and black, each colourway displays a white-out swoosh on the inverse side, with reflective finishes on the eyelets and tongue webbing. Letter work courtesy of Fragment can be found on the outer swooshes, suede mudguards, outsole and heel.

The Nike x Fragment Air Zoom Spiridon release this Tuesday, December 17th via Nike SNKRS with a retail price of $170 USD.
