The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB collaboration is no secret and after months of teasers and leaked images, the Swoosh’s skate division has now publicised the details for its latest partnership celebrating the 25th anniversary of the cult cartoon programme.
The Powerpuff Girls is part of Cartoon Network’s earlier run of shows and tells the story of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup that as the title suggests, all posses powers that help them protect their city of Townsville. In the series, the girls battle all kinds of supervillains, often squaring off against the evil Monkey Mojo Jojo.

Although the original Powerpuff Girls series ended in 2004, the show still has a fan base and more importantly a special place in the hearts of millennials and the early Gen Z, joining Nike SB as prominent figure of popular culture in the y2k era.
Starting with Buttercup‘s Dunk, a satiny green textile dresses the uppers, with reflective piping surrounding the panels and a repeat jacquard design on the tongue. The pink pair meant to resemble Blossom uses the same materials as the former, with the addition of a love heart lace charm.
Last but not least, Bubbles’ costume and hairdo come to life on the blue textured construction, highlighted by a yellow swoosh and matching laces.
All three iterations feature the respective characters’ eyes on the backtab, complimented by special collaborative tongue tags and Mojo Jojo artwork on the insoles.
