After the positive reception from Nike’s reissuing of cult releases like the Patta Air Max 1 “Chlorophyll” and Wu Tang Clan Dunk High, the Swoosh’s next high-profile re-release will centre around two of the brand’s most coveted works with Stash.

Josh Franklin, better known by his moniker Stash, is a cult graffiti artist who became a household name in the sneaker and streetwear world when he was recruited by Nike for its first ever “Artist Series” in 2003. Working on the Air Max BW, Stash chose to represent his formative years tagging New York’s subways through a blue/ grey palette directly inspired by the very same trains he vandalised throughout the 80’s and 90’s.

Nike regrouped with Stash in 2006 for another instalment of the Artist Series, this time offering up two of its most popular silhouettes to carry on the “blue” motive that has become synonymous with Stash projects.

Once again working on the Air Max 95 and Air Force 1, Nike and Stash are reuniting this season to introduce a new generation to the “Blue Pack”, keeping the titular OG colour schemes in place, with updates coming in the textile and function departments.

The Nike x Stash Air Max 95’s main design update comes via the exposed eyelets and zippable “stash” pouch on the tongue, where Nike encourages the artist within thanks to removable patches.

The updated Nike x Stash Air Force 1 swaps between stitched and fused upper panels to create a seamless, yet layered finish that lends beautifully to the various shades of blue and grey. A mix of rugged synthetic and premium leather textiles add depth while reinforcing the wearable ethos supported by Stash

Nike has reissued the same box design from the early 2000’s to house the sneakers, where Stash’s signature handwork can be found on the interior lid, also featuring on the tongue and insole of each silhouette.

Both the Stash x Nike Air Max 95 and Air Force 1 will release via Nike SNKRS on December 13th at 15:00pm.

The Air Max 95 is priced at $200 USD and the Air Force 1 is $160 USD.
