In the days since the deadly crowd surge at NRG Park on the 5th November, questions have been raised about what measures should have been taken to ensure the safety of the thousands of fans in attendance, and have thrown into question the future of Scott's numerous brand partnerships, including with sports giant Nike.

The brand confirmed via their SNKRS app that the general release of the Cactus Jack Air Max 1 shoe has been postponed "Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival".
To date, ten fans between the ages of 9 and 27 years old have died from injuries sustained at the concert and over 100 hundred lawsuits have been filed against the rapper, guest star Drake and touring company Live Nation, alleging that the crowd were incited to a dangerous degree and that adequate safety measures were not provided.
Originally set for release on 16th December, it remains to be seen whether future planned collaborations will continue to go head, with other styles in the pipeline for release including the Air Jordan 1 Low "Reverse Mocha".
