With Miami Art Week just around the corner, Nike has announced its plans to open up an installation dedicated to the late Virgil Abloh, which will explore the designer’s modus operandi and ephemeral connection to Nike as a brand.

Little over a year on from his passing, as a community we are still seeing the far reaching influence Abloh had on all spectrums of creativity, something which the “Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture" exhibition aims to explore in its 4 day tenure next month.

In a statement from Virgil’s widow and estate manager, Shannon Abloh, “the beautiful four-day experience at Miami Art Week will honour their (Virgil and Nike’s) legacy together and champion both Virgil’s open-source methods and his genuine commitment to collaborating with and inspiring others.”

Expect talks, guided walks, sculptures and plenty of artsy activities.
The event will also supposedly mark the release of the Off White x Nike Terra Forma, the first signature model that Virgil designed with Nike, which will likely receive a wider release arriving before the years’ end.
