Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway” Release Date

The release of Nigel Sylvester’s signature take on the Air Jordan 4 is now confirmed to drop on July 20th. Available via Nike SNKRS, the shoe will release in the previously teased forest green “grandma’s driveway” colour scheme, complete with unique branding notes and nostalgic packaging.

Pro BMX rider and Jordan brand Athlete Nigel Sylvester has officially announced his next collaboration with Nike’s basketball division, releasing a performance-driven update to the Air Jordan 4.

Officially dubbed the Air Jordan 4 RM, the design tweaks various aspects of the OG silhouette, slightly decreasing the height and implementing reinforced rubber guarding to provide more support around the heel and ankle.

Akin to the Air Jordan 4 x Nike SB collab that released in 2023, fans can rest assured knowing that Nigel Sylvester has been wearing his own pair for months now, ensuring that the changes the Air Jordan 4 has undergone are all in the name of performance.

The shoe will initially release in a green-hued palette titled “Grandma’s Driveway” that uses the exact shade of green found on the fence surrounding Grandma Sylvester’s home - the same place where Nigel cultivated his love for bike riding.

Speaking in an Instagram post, Sylvester highlighted other “crazy” details such as the toe-box Mini Swoosh, “Bike Air” remixing of the Air Jordan 4’s typical heel logo and stitched tongue branding.

The considered details carry over to the packaging, where the upper lid takes inspiration from the original AJ4 box, with another cameo from Nigel’s Grandmother’s house on the pebble-dash box print, with a final callback to Nigel’s childhood on the paper wrapping.

The Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 will release on Saturday, July 20th. Retail price and pints of sale are currently unknown.
