LA based anti-fashion group MSCHF is notorious for weird kicks. Plain and simple, they don’t strive to produce the next best thing but always end up making something truly noteworthy, and there isn’t a sneaker more distinctive than the Gobstomper.

First revealed by Jimmy Kimmel on his late night TV show back in the Summer, the concept behind the shoe was inspired by a gobstopper, materialised through the erodible layers on the uppers and the sole. The tearable trend was seen recently on the Huf x Nike Dunk Lows, however it is a first to see the sole of the shoe offer such capabilities - you could even say it's ‘ground-stomping’.

After a sell-out release the shoe is making its return, this time with a shadowy demeanour, the Gobstomper hides more sour coatings under the black overlays and rubber sole.
A severed foot logo lies on the centre of the outsole and heel flap, with a matching 3-D model hanging off the side of the shoe. MSCHF’s triple exclamation insignia also features on the tongue. Whether you use a dremel or simply bash them about naturally, the Gobstomper houses reams of neon purple and green, that reveal themselves after said gradual attrition.

Available on December 6th, MSCHF’s Sour Gobstomper retails at $195 and will be releasing exclusively on their in-house app.
