We’ve now reached week 6 of Palace’s Winter ‘23 campaign and in accordance with the season so far - “weather beware” as Palace lines up more anti-wet gear alongside a handful of eclectic statement pieces.
Gore-Tex is firmly woven into the tapestry of Palace history and starred in the brand’s recent collaborations with Nanamica and Baracuta. Although Palace has hit the big leagues with its various partnerships, in-house Gore-garms are still an integral component of the brand’s ethos and this week’s offering epitomises that very sentiment.
The ripstop anorak is adequately equipped with a total of five pockets, toggles in all the right places and a Tri-Ferg patch on the arm. Trousers with equal levels of waterproofing are available to mix or match with the navy, black, camo and green versions.
Where the Gore-Tex is guaranteed to keep oneself “dry af”, the faux fur hat will keep thine headtop “warm af” and echoes this season’s overall non-conformity towards headwear.
A short-sleeved football top shows biblical artwork offset by commercial branding and a Palace version of the Inter Milan crest. The design also features on a corduroy cap, which besides the Vatican-esque imagery, comes in black, brown, dark green and navy.
Sticking with corduroy, the “Amore et Unitas” (love and unity) slogan that appeared last week again pushes Palace’s collegiate spirit, this time on a pinwale quilted bomber jacket that displays the motto on the chest and back.
Remaining items include Gore-Tex boonie hats and garment-dyed heavyweight tri-ferg pullovers.
