Travis Scott’s partnership with Nike is stronger than ever.

The duo’s 10+ collaborative releases have always hit home and with a potential final collab with Jordan brand looming large, the next hurdle of La Flame’s inimitable sneaker run looks to be a signature model, supposedly dubbed “Cut the Check”.

The name is a dual nod to Scott’s lust for the bankroll and the Nike Swoosh, or check, that is once again being stitched on backwards, as is the calling card of all Travis sneaker collabs.

In terms of design, the shoe looks to favour a bubbleless Jordan 4-esque sole and similar upper panelling to the Dunk Low, complete with an over-foot velcro strap that could reference anything from the Air Trainer, to the Air Yeezy range that Travis’ mentor Kanye West made headlines with back in the day.

Although legitimate images are grainy, the colourway is easily discernible as a classic combination of sail, black and green, which is an almost carbon copy of the most recent Travis Scott x Jordan 1 Low “Olive”.

Sources indicate we could see the Travis Scott x Nike “Cut the Check” drop later this year to early 2024.
