Maison Margiela MM6 x Salomon Debut Three New ACS Pro’s

Last year, Maison Margiela’s hip subdivision MM6 debuted a Salomon collaboration that appealed to the upper echelon of fashion.

The designs took base Salomon models and implemented bright colour schemes and avant garde features, like the MM6 Cross Runner, which built upon the engineered running sole and injected an edge of eccentricity with an entirely shrouded upper. 

To kick off 2023, MM6 and Salomon are once again linking up, this time presenting a more widely accessible collection that’s centred around one of Salomon’s biggest hits - the ACS Pro Advanced. Reintroduced by Salomon last year, after a near twenty year vacation from mass rotation, the ACS Pro received sell-out reception from gorp and sneakerheads alike.

The ACS Pro’s fusion of streamlined design with rugged features scratched the itch for many, and is now only going to grow in hype as MM6 debuts their take on the shoe, this time letting the original design shine to focus on updating the colour scheme, taking advantage of the silhouette’s many layers. 

Two of the three teased colourways don’t differ much from mainline releases, with both the black and cream iterations swapping matte textures for a shinier textile on the uppers, where the third pushes the potential of the ACS Pro to achieve a cool blue palette, with a rubber chassis and darker tongue and toe box. All three of MM6’s ACS Pro’s feature the circled six logo on the tongue slot with Salomon branding dotted around the body of the sneaker.
