As the ongoing Ye vs. Adidas saga rolls out, Kanye has expanded on his grievances against sportswear giant Adidas and their handling of the collaborative YEEZY line.

Ye spoke out in June of this year regarding the "blatant copying" of designs he had produced for the Yeezy x Adidas partnership, calling lookalike styles "fake Yeezys" and demanding to speak with CEO at the time Kasper Rorsted, who has since stepped down.
In a spate of posts to his Instagram, the artist has also expressed his disapproval over the annual "Yeezy Day" event which he says he did not authorise; the alleged poaching of former Yeezy team members; the re-release of certain Yeezy styles without his input plus redesigns of his own work without his knowledge: "The fact [adidas] felt they could color my shoes and name them without my approval is really wild".
The artist has stressed his desire to be free of the partnership but on his own terms, claiming that he turned down a $1 billion buyout offer from Adidas. To put the offer in proportion, the artist explained that he is set to make $500 million from the partnership next year in "royalties" alone.

The rapper laid out his desired exit terms in a since-deleted Instagram post.

The list includes recovery of the rights to his intellectual property and final say on Adidas' future involvement in the Yeezy brand plus $2 billion in damages citing a list of reasons including "mental health", "social standing", "lying about factory capacity", "not opening stores" and more.
With the future of the Yeezy and Adidas relationship looking more uncertain than ever before, only time will tell how the matter will be resolved.

Ye also stated that current collaborators Gap were next on his list but that he had been advised to "refrain from posting anything" at the moment.
