After numerous teasers and great anticipation, Californian Skate OG’s Huf are finally dropping (at least) two colourways of their triple feature collaboration with Nike that’s been twenty years in the making.
The 2004 Huf x Nike SB Dunk High is up there with some of the greatest sneaker collabs of all time - the skate shoe made by skateboarders, for skateboarders has since earned grail status due to its unique aesthetic that can be appreciated by hardcore riders and sunday skidders alike.

Thanks to the devotion of Huf’s late leader and namesake, Keith Hufnagel, their partnership with Nike was always destined for further greatness, and if the images and leaks are anything to go by, then collectors old and new are certainly in for a treat.
Paying homage to the home and adopted city of Huf’s former leader, San Francisco and New York set the theme for the kicks, with the NY pair boasting navy, pebbled leather underlays, offset by white panelling. A depiction of the Big Apple’s skyline sat beneath honorary “Keith Forever” lettering lies on the heel section, with gothic Huf branding placed front and centre on the toe box of each pair, alongside a metallic mini swoosh.
The “San Francisco” iteration follows the same design codes as its pack member, although inverting the colourway and swapping the navy for black. A third colour scheme has also been doing the rounds, supposedly citing Los Angeles as its inspiration, although reports suggest that this version will be reserved for the friends and family of the Huf team.
Things get really interesting once you shred away the quarter panels, be it through pure skate thrashment or a simple box cutter job, to reveal a tie dye canvas that mixes the wider colouring of each respective shoe to call back to the 2004 collaboration that really solidified Huf as a big name in the skate sphere.

Supposedly only releasing stateside, The HUF x Nike SB Dunk low collaboration goes live via a raffle on sneaker release app “Copdate” at 9.a.m Pacific time. An international release is slated to follow on soon after.
