Last December, adidas and Gucci took their kitschy clobber to the ski resorts of France in the Aprés Ski collection, which expanded on the branding-heavy luxury pieces that have become indicative of the singular Gucci x adidas aesthetic and after a brief hiatus, the two are back for Spring ‘23 with more eccentric styles and a bevvy of footwear updates.
The apparel featured in the latest drop is more of the same flash Gucci styles, stamped with overt adi-signias, exhibited perfectly in the various tracksuits, working with blues, clean whites and a seasonally appropriate green.
Beneath the haute athleisure, you’ll find some serious callbacks to the 70’s and 80’s with v-neck ringer tees in bold colours with large trefoils stamped in the centre and Gucci lettering on the underside complete with tonal stripes on the arms.

Returning to adidas’ bread and butter, we have an 11-piece collection of new shoe styles, all injected with some of that inimitable Gucci flair across four Gazelle’s, a coequal lineup of ZX8000’s and a trio of luxury slides. Besides one ZX8000, each of the new colourways features some variation of Gucci’s monogram print.
The standouts from the lineup include an opaque pair of slip-ons with “Gucci” embossed over the upper section and a pink ZX8000 that’s broken up with yellow stripes and tabs, with a corduroy-esque textile on the uppers.

It wouldn’t be a proper collaborative capsule without accessories so once again, Gucci has taken a luxury approach to the category that ‘makes an outfit’, with leather, pattern-heavy bags, caps and bucket hats.
