With World Cup fever in full effect, it’s not uncommon that brands come creeping out to get a taste of the ceremonial pie with football related drops. The latest culture vulture is Tyler, the Creator’s Golf Wang, who have recruited prolific dresser and former Arsenal star Hector Bellerin to model a kit collection as part of the festivities.
The capsule comes just a week after Golf opened its second ever store in New York, and riding on the insurmountable hype of the Jeff Hamilton leather and street shutting reception, the football, or as the Yanks like to call it “soccer” collection taps into the vintage sport vibes of the 20th century.
The staple of the collection is the two piece kit, which is subverted by off-kilter stripes, featuring an integrated collar and “GW” branding on the left breast, sandwiched between a football logo. A fleece tracksuit offers warmth when stepping off the pitch, with a soft blue hoodie providing an alternative source of edgy comfort for those who still want to show off those Grealish-esque calf muscles.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a football collection without the addition of the only piece of equipment required to play the beautiful game. Expect the same graphical choices on the actual foot-ball, which drops alongside the rest of Golf’s attempt at the sport on November 26th, available from their webstore and physical locations.
