Four years after their first partnership, Tyler, the Creator is reuniting with the French sportswear brand Lacoste under the banner of his refined le FLEUR* offshoot for a vintage inspired apparel and accessories collection releasing this week.

Tyler’s preppy style formula, orbell-boy core, has been the artist’s common aesthetic for some time now, showcased during promotional runs for recent projects like Call Me if You Get Lost and IGOR.

While Lacoste hasn’t written the whole book on classic sportswear, it certainly published a solid few pages and drawing on the French brand’s heritage for the collaboration, Tyler has whipped up several modifications of arbitrary Lacoste cuts.
Building on the previous capsule, an obligatory set of co-branded tees and socks act as the ‘basics’ in an otherwise preppy collection that takes wardrobe staples like the humble polo shirt or letterman jacket and adds regal buttons and quaint patches to signify the refined le FLEUR touch.
Colour-wise, the collection opts for hues endorsed by both brands - deep greens and soft blues, alongside a mixed brown houndstooth pattern that features on a skirt, trousers and jacket that are all topped off with a stitched le FLEUR Crocodile patch.

One item that is undoubtedly nabbed straight from Tyler’s closet is the pearl necklace fitted with a gold-toned Lacoste badge.
