Gallery Dept. Jumps on the Ugg Bandwagon with Colourful Collaboration

While cult streetwear brand Gallery Dept is still young in the game, it hasn’t stopped the likes of Drake, Lil’ Baby and various other prominent figures co-signing the LA imprint thanks to its community driven approach and contemporary design language.

Outside of the mainline drops that Gallery Dept’s loyal following of streetwear contemporaries eat up on a regular basis, the brand has also collaborated with big players like Vans, Lanvin, and Asics, now jumping on the UGG revival bandwagon to attack the Australian brand’s most popular styles, armed with a bedazzling tool and Pollock-esque motivation.
The collection plays on two of Ugg’s most relevant styles - the classic boot and Tasman slipper that are both available in the brand’s proprietary chestnut and full black colourways. Acting as the perfect canvases for Gallery Dept.’s signature colourful input, both styles are plied with various coloured studs and paint splatter work akin to that seen on Gallery Dept.’s recent collaboration with Asics.

Branding hits come in the form of stacked tags on the heel, with the Tasman specifically being adorned with a bright orange patch on the collar.

The Ugg x Gallery Dept. collaboration releases on Friday, February 23rd at 09:00 am PST, available on both brand’s websites.
