Under his IG handle @imran_potato, Imran Moosvi has cultivated a loyal following of anti-fashion heads through a wide array of bootlegged projects, ranging from Louis Vuitton Teletubbies, to Gucci’d out Ugg Boots - Imran could be likened to a modern day Dapper Dan, as many of his works are favoured by high profile artists such as Billie Eillish or Travis Scott, who sport the upcycled luxury garments whenever they need to make a statement at a concert or photoshoot.

If by some anomaly you weren’t familiar with the designer, there shouldn't be a soul on the internet who’s eyes haven’t been blessed with the below image.

Yep, these works of art are also straight from the mind of Mr. Moosvi.

The self-made designer has been tapped by skate magnates Vans, for a series of exaggerated updates on their mainstay silhouettes. Teased through his Instagram account, Imran shared several images of the upcoming works on Vans’ Old Skool and Sk8-Hi models.

The Old Skool has been heavily vulcanised to emulate the chunky skate style that was popular in the early 2000s (think Osiris or DC), every impact point has been padded out for maximum comfort and thickness, furthering the ‘skateability’ of the already renowned silhouette. A foot-print, similar to that of Imran’s 'Caveman Slipper' sits on the outsole.

Leopard-print and blacked-out colourways can also be seen within the imagery.

The Sk8-Hi retains its original construction, finished off with a hand print across the outer panel. Both styles feature a Potato x Vans logo on the heel tab.

Expect the collaboration to release soon - stay tuned for more information.
