After several of the year's most hyped sneaker releases arrived via Nike's Exclusive Access model, fans have begun reporting cancelled orders from the retailer without warning due to "systems" issues.

Nike announced earlier this year that the Exclusive Access model would grant priority access to “Nike Members and engaged participants in the SNKRS community".

Based on a member's prior history of entering SNKRS launches and general level of engagement with content on the app, select fans would be rewarded with a personal invitation to purchase popular shoes including the recent Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "The 50" collection.

After major releases via the model including the Off-White Dunks and Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low, disappointed fans took to social media to share accounts of cancelled orders after having received the coveted invite to purchase them.

Various accounts from fans showed orders as cancelled without warning, another individual who had purchased a pair of the Off-White Dunk Lows had their order cancelled before being told they were unable to try for general release as they had "already purchased" the shoes.

Responses from Nike customer service suggested that the errors were due to a "systems" issue where more pairs had been sold than should have been, leaving some orders unfulfilled.

Others were offered $50 gift vouchers for future purchases as an apology for the "inconvenience".
