Following the fatal events which unfolded at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival in November, Dior have officially postponed the release of the Spring 2022 Cactus Jack collection.
In a statement to WWD, the brand explained that they have decided to "postpone indefinitely" the release of the collection "out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld".

Originally conceived by men's artistic director Kim Jones and Scott, the collection would have been the first ever collaboration with a musician for the house of Dior.
Ten fans between the ages of 9 and 27 years old were ruled to have died from compression asphyxia sustained at the festival. Over 100 hundred lawsuits have since been filed against the rapper, guest star Drake and touring company Live Nation, alleging that the crowd were incited to a dangerous degree and that adequate safety measures were not provided.

The status of Scott's other existing brand partnerships also looks uncertain, with the release of planned Nike footwear collabs including the Air Jordan 1 Low "Reverse Mocha" and Nike Air Max 1 "Cactus Jack" also postponed indefinitely at this time.
