Virgil Abloh has passed away at the age of 41 after a private battle with cancer.
Abloh’s family shared the news that the designer, DJ, engineer and all-round creative had been privately battling cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, since 2019.

Abloh is survived by his wife Shannon Abloh, two children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh and his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh.
Virgil broke barriers in the world of fashion and design, making history as one of the few black designers at the head of a major fashion house as Creative Director of Menswear at Louis Vuitton. He also leaves a considerable legacy in the streetwear and sneaker communities with his brand Off-White™ and highly coveted shoe collections with Nike.
