Daniel Arsham has somewhat of a monopoly on cool - unless you subscribe to the theory that he is the founder of @hidden.ny, he’s simply a lone creator in a world full of brands.

Since graduating the Cooper Union School of Art, Arsham has transgressed the confines of orthodoxy to become a multi-hyphenate artist who’s collaborations and works are synonymously at the forefront of hype culture and modern art.

Arsham recently took to instagram to announce his next partnership with fellow industry elites - Stone Island. The collaboration, by some tenet-like coincidence, has come in a timely manner to celebrate 40 years of Stone Island’s cutting edge within the outerwear field.
Currently, we only have a short video depicting one of Arsham’s rugged Porsches showcasing its gymkhana capabilities, revealing at the end, the project’s name - ‘Safari’.

Arsham had previously posted a rear view shot of a ‘Safari’ branded Stone Island jacket - whether it’s a new silhouette or not is unclear - however, it does hold a slight resemblance to the Loom Woven Down Jacket which has been a staple amongst Stone Island collections for the past few years.
The collaboration is an example of when two things just fit - both parties have contributed mass innovation in their respective markets and are carrying the same ethos into what will surely be a collaboration for the ages.
